Full Description

Your private half-day tour begins with pickup at your accommodation in Lisbon. From there, we head towards the mountains of Sintra, a place that has inspired kings, poets and travellers for centuries thanks to its lush forests, micro-climate and romantic architecture.

One of the main highlights is the Pena Palace, sitting high above the town. With its colourful towers and terraces, it is one of the most iconic buildings in Portugal. You can walk around the exterior, enjoy breathtaking views over the surrounding park and, if you prefer, visit the interior (ticket not included).

We continue to Quinta da Regaleira, famous for its symbolic gardens, underground tunnels and the legendary Initiation Well. As you walk through the property you’ll hear stories about the symbolism and hidden meanings built into its design.

There is also some free time in the historic centre of Sintra, where you can explore traditional shops, taste the famous Travesseiros or Queijadas and take photos of the National Palace.

If time and traffic allow, the return to Lisbon may be made via the coast, passing by the Guincho area and the elegant town of Cascais, before heading back to your accommodation.
